Therapy and Coaching for Healers and Care Workers

Helping you recover from burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and cultural stress on the frontlines.

Are you a therapist, healer, first responder, nurse, or care worker trying to support people while existing as a burned out human on a burned out planet?

You have poured your heart and soul into being in service to others. You care deeply about people and the planet. But you might be struggling to balance caring for people you serve and managing to take care of yourself. You might find yourself asking:

How do I cope with the grief, rage, fear, crisis, and trauma of these times?

How do I unlearn, protest, divest, resist and somehow find time for self-care without feeling guilty?

How do I navigate hopelessness, despair, anger, cynicism, and burnout?

How do I know if anything I’m doing is even making a difference?

So often we believe that we must totally exhaust ourselves to make change occur, or that we aren’t good at what we do because we aren’t able to make the change we wish to see happen. We end up so lost and discouraged—particularly if we belong to the marginalized and oppressed groups that we are fighting for—that it makes it hard to remain in the work. When it seems like change isn’t happening at all, we become hopeless, despaired, cynical, and burn out. But this isn’t the only way. You can do meaningful and revolutionary work in a way that is sustainable for you.

You can do this work in a way that is sustainable for you. Whether you’re a therapist, healer, care worker, or helping professional, this offering is for you.

I offer a space to help you recover from burnout, self-doubt, role strain, compassion fatigue, moral injury, soul exhaustion, vicarious trauma, identity loss, and conflict with colleagues and comrades in movement spaces. Our sessions will equip you with the tools to release toxic guilt and shame, build relationships, politicize your practice, embody your values in your work, and develop radical self and community care strategies to sustain your work with your longevity in mind.

Testimonials

“After years of protesting, community organizing and advocacy work, I started feeling cynical, burned out, and disillusioned. I was struggling to feel seen and heard in the movements, especially as a queer black woman. Working with Briana helped me shift lanes within the activism space and lean into my creativity, learn how to take breaks without feeling guilty, build community, find my voice and regain confidence in myself and my work."

— Jasmine

“Prior to working with Briana, I felt frustrated, stuck, disregarded, and like I was struggling to accept some deep wounds and hard truths. Now that I've been working with the intuitive genius that she is (because she truly is!), I'm on a path where I feel whole, grounded, capable, and empowered. This has been such a time of growth and excitement for me, and I credit Briana with helping me get here."

— Ana

“When I came to Briana, I was completely exhausted, hopeless, and experiencing burnout in my job. Briana helped me make significant changes in my life, leaving a job that didn’t align with my values and ideas, untangling beliefs around money, time, and productivity that were keeping me stuck and having the courage to a start new job doing work that was meaningful to me. Working with Briana was so inspiring and truly life changing."
